Aureo sale 243, lot 663
This specimen was lot 663 in Aureo y Calicó sale 243 (Barcelona, April 2012), where it sold for 200 € (about $302 including buyer's fees). The catalog[1] noted,
"1795. Carlos IV. Madrid. MF. 1/2 real. Bellísima pátina. Muy rara así. EBC+. (half real of 1795, Madrid mint. Beautifully toned, rare thus, choice extremely fine.)"
It is one of a series minted in Spain 1792-1808 for Charles IV. The type is listed quite low in the SCWC but is very hard to find.

Specification: 1.69 g, .812 fine silver, .044 troy oz ASW.
