This specimen was lot 1895 in Jean Elsen sale 117 (Brussels, June 2013), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIE, SAVOIE et SARDAIGNE, Charles Albert (1831-1849), AV 20 lire, 1840 P, Gênes. Très Beau. (Italy, kingdom of Sardinia, Charles Albert (1831-49). gold twenty lire of 1840, Genoa mint. Very fine.)"This type was struck 1832-45 at Turin and Genoa (shown here). Tho not rare, it is much less common than the issues of Victor Emanuel II (1850-60).
