This specimen was lot 1815 in Sincona sale 18 (Zurich, May 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"20 Mark 1883. Berlin Sehr schön-gutes sehr schön. (kingdom of Prussia, twenty mark of 1883, very fine.)"Several German states issued gold five mark in 1877 but the denomination was abandoned in favor of a silver five mark, gold being restricted to ten and twenty mark pieces. This type was struck 1874-88 and is common.
