This specimen was lot 33845 in Heritage sale 3038 (Dallas, January 2015), where it sold for $1,997.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Nova Scotia. Victoria Specimen Cent 1864 SP64 Brown PCGS. An illustrious example of this type with the portrait of Victoria virtually flawless. This date almost never appears in Specimen grade." Prior to confederation with Canada in 1867, the province of Nova Scotia issued half cents and cents 1861-64.

Recorded mintage: 800,000.
