This specimen was lot 2404 in Goldberg sale 91 (Los Angeles, June 2016), where it sold for $1,175. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mozambique. 2000 Meticais, 1985 NGC PF69 UC. For the 10th Anniversary of Independence. Map and star. NGC graded Proof 69 Ultra Cameo." This commemorative was accompanied by a 250 meticais in silver and copper-nickel (KM 107 and 107a). It is rare.

Recorded mintage: 100 pieces.

Specification: 17.5 g, .917 fine gold, 0.5159 troy oz AGW.
