Shown is an 1884GaAH 8 reales, one of a type struck 1825-97. This specimen was lot 577 in Ponterio sale 135. Assayer AH is recorded at the Guadalajara mint for the years 1884-85. Assayer TB is also known for 1884. The mintage is not recorded but the date is common. The Guadalajara mint, opened in 1812 during the War of Independence, closed in 1895.
