Shown is an 1872MoM balance scale five centavos, of a type struck 1869-1897. The first specimen was lot 1639 in Goldberg sale ___. This issue from Mexico City is among the more available dates, though it does not often appear so nice. The SCWC prices it about triple that of the common dates of the 1890's. Other mints include Hermosillo, Culiacan, Durango, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Guanajuato, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Alamos and Potosi.

Specification: 1.35 g, .903 fine silver, .039 troy oz ASW.

Mintage: 266,000.
