This eight reales is one of a series struck 1825-97 at the Guanajuato mint. This date is common in all grades. Assayer PF is recorded for years 1848-61. This specimen was lot 4117 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $564. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico. 8 Reales, 1854-Go PF. Brilliant mint luster. NGC graded MS-64."

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
