This eight reales is one of a series struck 1825-97 at the Zacatecas mint. This date is common. Assayer OM is recorded for 1831-55. This specimen was lot 6462 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $63.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Zacatecas. 8 Reales, 1835-OM. Sharply struck planchet flaws, one large edge flaw, nice strike. Toned UNCIRCULATED."

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
