This specimen was lot 8152 in Ponterio sale 159 (Baltimore, March 2011), where it sold for $316.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guanajuato. 1/2 Real, 1833-GoMJ. Round top 3. Toned. NGC MS-64." It was struck at the Guanajuato mint in 1833, one of a type struck there 1826-68. Assayer MJ is listed for 1826-33. This variety, along with the "flat top 3", are listed as common.
