This specimen was lot 2729 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $71.40. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: Edward VII, 1901-1910, AE 1/12 anna, 1910(c), lustrous surface with iridescent purple hue, a gorgeous example, NGC graded MS65 RB." This type was struck at Calcutta 1906-10 and replaced a copper type (KM 497) of 1903-06. There may have been a reduction in weight as well.

Recorded mintage: 23,520,000.

Specification: bronze, 17.5 mm diameter.
