This specimen was lot 2883 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $71.40. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: Victoria, Empress, 1876-1901, AE 1/12 anna, 1898 (c), bright red original mint luster! PCGS graded MS64 RD." This type was struck at Calcutta 1877-1901 and at Bombay 1877, 1882-84, 1886-90 only. It is common.

Recorded mintage: 13,882,000.
