This type was issued in Honduras 1883-1903 and 1914 and usually comes poorly struck. It is much commoner than the earlier KM 51, issued 1881-83. Varieties, overdates, etc., abound. This specimen shows large cuds on the reverse. The peso was dropped in favor of the lempira in 1931.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 25 g, .900 fine silver, .723 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
