Sincona sale 68, lot 5347
The first specimen was lot 3379 in Sincona sale 64 (Zurich, June 2020), where it sold for 750 CHF (about US$940 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Grisons | Kanton, Halbbatzen 1812, Bern. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich-FDC. Kleiner Kratzer. (canton of Graubunden, half batzen of 1812, Bern mint. Very rare in this condition, Extremely fine-uncirculated, Small scratch.)"
The second specimen was lot 5347 in Sincona sale 68 (Zurich, October 2020), where it sold for 1,000 CHF (about US$1,317 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Grisons | Kanton, Halbbatzen 1812, Bern. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich. (canton of Graubunden, half batzen of 1812, Bern mint. Very rare in this condition, Extremely fine.)"
Four kreuzer made a batzen and forty batzen made a thaler.

Recorded mintage: 100,000.

Specification: billon, the first specimen: 2.00 g, the second specimen 2.01 g.
