Sincona sale 35, lot 5241
The first specimen was lot 3726 in Sincona sale 20 (Zurich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 250 (about US$313 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "[Graubunden.] Batzen 1807. Fast FDC. (choice uncirculated.)" The second specimen was lot 5241 in Sincona sale 35 (Zurich, October 2016), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$214 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,
"Grisons | Kanton, Batzen 1807. Gutes vorzüglich. (canton of Grisons, one batzen of 1807. Good extremely fine.)"
The canton of Graubunden (Grisons in French) issued a variety of coins during 1807-42, ranging from billon 1/6 batzen to a gold 16 franken (Fr-265). Forty batzen = four franken = one thaler and ten rappen = one batzen.

Recorded mintage: 56,000.

Specification: billon; the first specimen is 2.93 g, the second specimen 2.73 g.
