This specimen was lot 28190 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $411.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Gelderland. Provincial gold Ducat 1608, VF, light encrustation in the devices." Gelderland, along with several other Dutch provinces, issued gold ducats from the sixteenth century until the termination of the United Provinces by Napoleon in the 1790's.

Specification: 3.50 g, .986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW.
