This specimen was lot 476 in Ponterio sale 149 (Chicago, April 2009), where it did not sell. The catalog description noted, "EL SALVADOR. Banco Industrial del Salvador. 5 Pesos, 15.9.1896. P-S142a. FINE." Printed by ABNCo.
This specimen was lot 5301 in Ponterio sale 152 (New York, January 2010), where it sold for $373.75. The catalog description noted, "EL SALVADOR. Banco Salvadoreno. 1 Peso, 1.10.1905. P-S201b. A tough bank which quickly escalates in value as the denominations increase. This note has even circulation and is problem free. FINE."
