Bahamas 2009 cent

This specimen is one of a type struck for the Bahamas beginning in 2006. In 2009, the weight was reduced to 1.75 g from 2.5 g. The starfish reverse makes this coin a popular souvenir for sunburned tourists.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 1.75 g, copper-plated zinc, 17 mm diameter.
