Baden 1907 2 mark
This specimen was lot 22512 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $80. The catalog description noted, "GERMANY. Baden. 2 Mark, 1907. NGC MS-65. Struck to commemorate the death of Grand Duke Friedrich I. Blast white and fully lustrous with a frosted appearance on the obverse portrait. A delightful Gem example." This type was struck 1907 and is fairly common by dint of being saved. It accompanied a five mark also issued for the death (Dav-537).
