This specimen was lot 6039 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $164.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. 3 Kreuzer, 1665-CA. Vienna Mint. Leopold I (1657-1705). NGC MS-65. Frosty and glittering as if it has just dropped off the roller die. Quite well detailed with every strand of hair and feather shown. A lovely little gem which is tied with one other piece as the finest certified." This type is listed for 1660-74 and 1693-95 with a low catalog value. CA = Andrea Catto, mintmaster at Vienna.
