Schmidt, ''Standard Catalog of World Coins, 1801-1900, 9th ed.'', Iola, WI: Krause Publications, 2019.")
This specimen was part of lot 23179 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), which sold for $419.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria Trio of High Grade Coppers, ...Cent 1862, ...Average grade is XF-AU." The type was struck in 1862 only while Singapore was administered by the British Raj in India and is scarce in nice condition despite the large mintage. It was converted to bronze for the 1884 issue (KM 9a) and given a reeded edge for the 1889 issue (KM 16).
Recorded mintage: 9,321,000.
Specification: copper, plain edge.
Catalog reference: KM 6.
