This specimen was part of lot 23179 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), which sold for $419.75. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Victoria Trio of High Grade Coppers, ...Cent 1862, ...Average grade is XF-AU." The type was struck in 1862 only while Singapore was administered by the British Raj in [[India]] and is scarce in nice condition despite the large mintage. It was converted to bronze for the 1884 issue (KM 9a) and given a reeded edge for the 1889 issue (KM 16).
