This type was struck in Madrid and Seville 1729-42 and is rather rare. One escudos were struck in metropolitan Spain throughout the eighteenth century but do not become common until the issues of Charles III in the 1770's.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, .917 fine gold, .098 troy oz AGW.
