This specimen was the first issue of this type, which is still in production as of 2012, the last date listed in the SCWC. With US$1 = 1159 won (as of April 2019), this coin has a face value of eight hundredths of a cent. The flower featured on the obverse is the Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus).

Recorded mintage: 40,000,000.

Specification: 0.73 g, aluminum, 17.2 mm diameter.
