This specimen was lot 3549 in Goldberg sale 67 (Los Angeles, January 2012), where it sold for $805. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States - Prussia. Ducat, 1728-EGN. Friedrich Wilhelm I, 1713-1740. Bust right. Reverse: Crowned oval arms. Ex-jewelry, edge damage, polished and bent. Very Fine." This type is listed for 1725-32 with all dates being rare. Issues of ducats in Prussia, never prolific, dwindled after the introduction of the frederick d'or in the 1740's.
