This specimen was lot 349 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 26 (Winter Park, FL, November 2019), where it sold for $773.50. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Mexico City, [[Mexico]], cob 2 reales, 1709J, rare. Very bold full oMJ and 17 of date followed by clear but weaker 09, gorgeous full cross and most of shield, VF with elegant toning all over. Auction lot-tag personally signed by John Pullin. The John Pullin Collection of Dated Mexican Cobs." The silver cobs were debased from .931 fine to .917 fine in 1728. They are not rare but very scarce with legible dates.
