Honduras 1870A real rev DSLR.jpg

Honduras issued a series of increasingly debased minor coinage during 1832-53. This peso, theoretically worth eight reales, was issued in copper-lead 1857-61 and normally appears in wretched condition. This very rare date should probably have realized a higher price but is too obscure to draw much interest.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: copper-nickel.

Catalog reference: KM-33.
