This specimen was lot 40389 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 5 Pounds, 2005. NGC PROOF-69 ULTRA CAMEO. Commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the death of Horatio Nelson with a mintage of 1,760 pieces. Impressively preserved with a bold cameo appearance." The catalog listing, specification and mintages reported below are complicated by the multiple formats of issue. The mintage reported for the copper-nickel version includes KM 1053, also issued in 2005.

Recorded mintage: copper-nickel: 1,075,516 + 40,563 proofs; silver: 12,852; gold: 1,700.

Specification: 39.94 g, .917 fine gold.
