This specimen was lot 40109 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1818-JF Escudo. Santa Fe de Nuevo Reino (Bogotá) mint. Ferdinand VII (1808-1833). AU-53 (PCGS). Medium yellow gold with some luster and scattered evidence of handling. A small natural planchet void is noted near 3:00 on the reverse. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Ex. Lester Merkin's sale of December 1973, lot 566." Nuevo Reino struck this type 1808-20.
