This specimen was lot 2967 in Sincona sale 23 (Zurich, May 2015), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (about US$2,010 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR/ÖSTERREICH, Erzherzog Ferdinand II. 1564-1595 Doppeltaler o. J. Hall. Gutes sehr schön. (Austria, archduke Ferdinand II (1564-95), double thaler without date, Hall mint, good very fine.)"Davenport notes a considerable number of thalers and multiple thalers struck for the archduke, Dav-8088 thru Dav-8103, all without dates. None are rare.
