This specimen was lot 2157 in UBS sale 84 (Basel, January 2010). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Zürich, Stadt. Taler 1652. Nach links schreitender Löwe mit Wappen und Schwert. Rv. Spruch mit Jahreszahl auf Kartusche. Sehr schön." (Switzerland, city of Zurich, thaler of 1652. Obv: lion with sword and shield. Rev: cherub with date on cartouche. Very Fine).
This type was struck 1651-52 is among the more available Swiss thalers of the seventeenth century.
