This specimen was lot 1110 in Jean Elsen sale 115 (Brussels, December 2012) where it sold for €4200 (about US$6,411 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, ZALTBOMMEL, Stad, AR daalder van 30 stuiver, z.j. (1579-1581), Droit: (granaatappel) DVRAE NECESSITATIS OPVS Stadswal met geschut in de poort. Revers: MONETA- NOVA FACTA- BOEME Stadswapen tussen twee leeuwen met een kort zwaard in de klauwen. Uiterst Zeldzaam. Ex HSA 9338. Zeer Fraai. (city of Zaltbommel, daalder of thirty stuivers/écu of thirty sols without date (1579-81).Obverse: city walls, cannon in gate; reverse: city arms supported by two lions sharing a sword. Very rare, very fine.)"
