This specimen was lot 30853 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Wurttemberg. Karl I Proof 2 Mark 1877 PR64 Deep Cameo PCGS, Freudenstadt mint, Rarely encountered in proof condition. Strongly frosted devices and highly reflected fields create a stark cameo effect. A few minor scattered marks, but for a piece as rare as this, they can easily be forgiven. Certainly worthy of a premium bid." This type is expensive in nice condition. It was issued 1876-77, 1880, 1883, 1888.

Recorded mintage: 1,106,763 plus proofs.

Specification: 11.11 g, .900 fine silver.
