Künker sale 293, lot 1391
This specimen was lot 1391 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €3,400 (about US$4,583 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"WISMAR, STADT, Reichstaler (32 Schilling) 1608, mit Titel Rudolfs II. Hübsche Patina, kl. Stempelfehler, vorzüglich. (Germany, city of Wismar, thaler of 1608, struck in the name of Rudolf II. handsome patina, small edge defects, extremely fine.)"
This type was issued 1608 only and is scarce. Wismar was under Swedish rule 1648-1803.
