United States 2019S cent rev DSLR.jpg

Altho the United States cent has a proud history going back to 1793, it is now worth so little that its continued production is undertaken mostly to keep the unionized employees of the mint busy. The mintage of this proof is unknown, being (September 2019) still in production, but recent mintages have been between one and two million per year. The Union shield reverse has been in use since 2010.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 2.5 g, copper-plated zinc, 19.08 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 468.
