This silver certificate bears the signatures of W. A. Julian (Treasurer of the United States, June 1933 to May 1949) and Henry Morgenthau (Secretary of the Treasury, January 1934 to July 1945). The reverse of this note was used only 1928-34, with the more familiar Great Seal reverse appearing in 1935. This note is nicknamed the "funny back." It is common in worn condition but very rare to be found in circulation as this one was.
