This specimen was lot 1030 in Jean Elsen sale 111 (Brussels, December 2011), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"SAINT EMPIRE, TRANSYLVANIE (SIEBENBÜRGEN), Joseph Ier (1705-1711), AV ducat, 1711, Hermannstadt (Sibiu). Droit : L'empereur debout à droite, en cuirasse et manteau d'hermine, tenant un sceptre sur l'épaule et le globe crucigère. Revers : Aigle impériale couronnée, avec l'écu de Transylvanie sur la poitrine. A l'exergue, IFK (Johann Franz Kropff). Extrêmement Rare. Superbe. (Holy Roman Empire, Transylvania, Joseph I (1705-11), gold ducat of 1711, Hermannstadt mint. Obverse: the emperor stands, facing right, armored and mantled, holding sword and scepter. Reverse: crowned imperial eagle, with the arms of Transylvania on its breast, monogram "IFK" below. Extremely rare, extremely fine.)"
