This specimen was lot 1102 in Jean Elsen sale 115 (Brussels, December 2012) where it sold for €650 (about US$992 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"THORN, Abdij, Margaretha van Brederode (1557-1577), AR daalder, 1557, Met titel van Keizer Karel. Droit: MARGAR[ETA] D BREDROD AB FVND SE THOER Gehelmd wapenschild met vier leeuwen. Revers: CAROLVS V ROMA IMPERA SEMP AVGVST Gekroonde rijksarend. Zeldzaam. Lichte dubbelslag. Ex HSA 6930. Zeer Fraai. (Abbey of Thorn, Margaret of Brederode, 1557-77, silver thaler of 1557, in the name of Charles V. Obverse: helmeted arms with four lions; reverse: crowned double-headed eagle. Scarce, slightly double struck, very fine.)"
