This specimen was lot 31062 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $705. The catalog description[1] noted, "Gustaf V Proof 2 Kronor 1914-W, PR66 NGC. A sharply struck example of this very scarce date with aged gray and gold patina and full underlying mint brilliance. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman / B.G. Johnson." This type, featuring the new king Gustav V, was issued 1910-15 and 1922-40. Most of the dates are readily available in grades up to Extremely Fine tho this one is scarce. The SCWC does not mention proofs.

Recorded mintage: 191,905.

Specification: 15 g, .800 fine silver, 31 mm diameter.
