Künker sale 294, lot 3220
This specimen was lot 3220 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €2,600 (about US$3,504 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEDEN, KÖNIGREICH, Gustav IV. Adolf, 1792-1809. Dukat 1805, Stockholm. 3,44 g Feingold. GOLD. Attraktives Exemplar, kl. Schürfspur am Rand, vorzüglich +. (kingdom of Sweden, Gustaf IV Adolf, 1792-1809, ducat of 1805, Stockholm mint. Attractive example, scuff on edge, extremely fine or better.)"
This type was struck 1799-1809 and is scarce as are most Swedish ducats.

Recorded mintage: 13,000.

Specification: 3.5 g, .976 fine gold.
