This specimen was lot 3142 in Goldberg sale 103 (Los Angeles, February 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Straits Settlements. Cent, 1908. Edward VII. Traces of red mint luster. NGC graded MS-62 Brown."The type was struck in 1903-08 after the Straits Settlements were made a separate crown colony and is scarce in nice condition despite the large mintage. This is the most common date.

Recorded mintage: unknown; proofs exist.

Specification: 9.3 g, bronze, 29 mm diameter, reeded edge.
