This type was issued in the F.A.O. sets with the fifty centimos, two, five, ten and twenty dobras. Circulating coinage from this impoverished country, which obtained independence from Portugal in 1975, is very scanty.

Recorded mintage: 1,500,000 plus 2,500 proofs.

Specification: brass, 20 mm diameter.
