The first specimen shown was lot 2401 in Aureo y Calico sale 232 (Barcelona, March 2011), where it sold for 85 euros (about US$140 including buyer's fee). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1853. Segovia. Doble décima de real. Escasa. BC+. (Double tenth of a real, Segovia mint, scarce, Fine plus.)"
The second specimen shown was lot 100 in Aureo y Calico sale 233 (Barcelona, April 2011), where it sold for 700 euros (about US$1,166 including buyer's fee). The catalog description[2] noted,
"1853. Segovia. Doble décima de real. Muy bella. Brillo original. Rara así. S/C-. (Double tenth of a real of 1853, Segovia mint, rare, original luster, About Uncirculated.)"
This Spanish two-tenths of a real was struck in Segovia 1853 only during the middle years of Isabel II (1833-68).

Recorded mintage: unknown but somewhat scarce.
