Aureo sale 261, lot 428
This specimen was lot 428 in Aureo y Calicó sale 261 (Barcelona, July 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"1766. Carlos III. Sevilla. VC. 2 reales. Rara y más así. MBC+. (Charles III, 1759-88, two reales of 1766, Seville mint. Rare in this quality, choice very fine.)"
The Madrid mint issued this type 1759-71 and the Seville mint 1760-62 and 1766-71. The Seville mint product is common but this is a rare date.

Specification: 6.77 g, .833 fine silver, .181 troy oz ASW.
