Aureo sale 232, lot 2295
The specimen shown was lot 2295 in Aureo y Calico sale 232 (Barcelona, March 2011), where it sold for 52 euros (about $86 including buyer's fee). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1759. Madrid. JB. 2 reales. Escasa. MBC-. (Two reales of 1759, Madrid mint; scarce, about Very Fine.)
This type was issued at Seville and Madrid 1754-59. The minors, especially one and two reales, are much more common than the pesos.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 6.77 g, .833 fine silver, .181 troy oz ASW.
