Aureo sale 269, lot 198
The specimen shown is a Spanish half real (or half croat) struck in 1745 at the Madrid mint, of a type issued 1730-46. None were issued at Madrid 1741-44. Assayer AJ is recorded for the years 1745-1746. This specimen was lot 198 in Aureo sale 269 (Barcelona, July 2015), where it sold for €42 (about US$55 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1745. Felipe V. Madrid. AJ. 1/2 real. MBC. (Spain, Philip V, half real of 1745, Madrid mint, very fine.)"

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.903 fine silver, 0.049 troy oz ASW, this specimen 1,31 g.
