Shown is a Spanish two reales struck in 1723 at the Madrid mint. Assayer A is recorded for the year 1721-1725. This specimen was auctioned by Cayón Subastas in Madrid, Spain, on September 16, 2011, where it hammered for 50 Euros (about US$81 including buyer's fees). The catalog description reads:
"Madrid. 2 reales. 1721 y 23. A. MBC. Lote de dos piezas (2). (two reales of Madrid, 1721 and 1723, very fine, two coins in lot.)"

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 6.77 g, 0.903 fine silver, 0.1965 troy oz ASW.
