This specimen was lot 8196 in Ponterio sale 160 (Baltimore, June 2011), where it sold for $632.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. 4 Reales, 1594-F. Granada Mint. Philip II (1556-98). RARE. Planchet split. Nicely toned. BOLD VERY FINE." Cayón lists this cob type for Granada in 1590-97.
