This specimen was lot 70322 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. 1/2 Real, ND (1474-1504)-S. Seville Mint. Ferdinand & Isabel. NGC VF-30. Obverse: Bundle of arrows; Reverse: Bow with star and S. A wholesome and decently toned example of this minor." This fairly common type was also struck at Granada, Burgos, Toledo, Segovia, Cuenca and Coruña in a multitude of varieties. The catalog number assigned below is for the variety with the mintmark "S" on one side only and an eight-pointed star.
