This specimen was lot 2169 in Sincona sale 43 (Zurich, October 2017), where it sold for 1,300 CHF (about US$1,551 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Solms-Laubach, Christian August, 1738-1784 Taler 1767. Wertheim Auf die Vermählung seines Sohnes, des Erbgrafen Georg August Wilhelm mit Elisabeth Charlotte Ferdinande Luise, Tochter des Fürsten Friedrich Ernst von Isenburg. Selten. Gutes sehr schön. Kleiner Schrötlingsfehler. (Germany, county of Solms-Laubach, Christian August, 1738-84, thaler of 1767, on the wedding of his son George August William to Elisabeth Charlotte, daughter of prince Frederick Ernest of Isenburg. Rare, Good very fine, Minor planchet defect.)"
Two thalers were issued on this occasion, Dav-2783 (shown here) and Dav-2782 with a different reverse. The county was mediatized to Hesse-Darmstadt in 1806 but the last coinage is dated 1770.
